Terms and Conditions
Language for the Brain provides language lessons in French, Spanish and Portuguese. Lessons are provided by a fully qualified and experienced Teacher of languages.
Language for the Brain teaches adults and children/young people aged 10+.
Lessons are usually delivered weekly and last for one hour. Other arrangements are available on a case-by-case basis; please contact info@otralengua.co.uk to discuss your requirements.
Lessons are currently delivered online via Zoom or Cisco Webex. Language for the Brain ordinarily delivers lessons at Language for the Brain premises or at the Tutee’s home if this is within a 5 mile radius of Malvern, Worcestershire.
Lessons include support with external school examinations including GCSE Spanish and French and A-Level Spanish.
Payment for lessons should be made no later than 24 hours after each lesson, via bank transfer. Bank details will be provided during the first lesson.
Language for the Brain is entitled to recover all reasonable expenses incurred in obtaining payment from the Customer where any payment due from the Customer is late.
The Customer is not entitled to withhold any monies due to the Tutor.
The Tutor is entitled to vary the price to take account of:
- Any additional services requested by the Customer which were not included in the original agreement with the tutee;
- Any reasonable increase in rates, if applicable;
Any such variation must be communicated to the Customer in writing by the Tutor.
Language for the Brain requires tutees to provide 7 days’ notice should they not be able to attend a lesson. If less than 7 days’ notice are provided Language for the Brain will charge all or a proportion of the cost of the lesson as determined by the current Language for the Brain Cancellation Policy.
Language for the Brain reserves the right to terminate arrangements with customers should a tutee cancel or miss multiple lessons, as defined in the current Language for the Brain Cancellation Policy.
Language for the Brain will provide electronic copies of handouts to tutees. However, tutees are requested to provide their own paper and other relevant writing materials.
If the Customer uses car parking facilities at the place of business of the Tutor or chosen venue of the Tutor the Customer is solely responsible for any damage or loss to the vehicle or its contents.
Persons other than the Tutee and the Tutee’s parent/guardian are not permitted to attend a lesson unless the prior consent of the Tutor has been obtained.
The Tutor does not guarantee exam success for Tutees.
Payments for tuition are non-refundable and non-transferable.
